Description

The Rio Red Grapefruit is known for its deep red color and unmatched sweet, juicy flavor. Tree-ripened and only harvested at the peak of perfection.

Eat citrus like they do in the Texas valley! These Rio Red Grapefruit are the freshest that you can get! They will start the season with a green rind, but will still be an unmatched sweet, juicy flavor. Unlike grapefruit we may be used to, all the citrus from US Citrus has never been exposed to ethylene gas. The use of ethylene gas helps to increase the rind ripening process which is why these grapefruits can still be so juicy and are still bright green. As the season goes on and temperatures get cooler the rind will naturally fill in with more and more color.

Storage Tip: Store in a cool area for up to 2 weeks or in your refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
