INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Thaw tikka masala sauce and chicken overnight in the refrigerator.
STEP 1 Pat chicken dry with paper towels and cut into approximately 1-inch cubes.
STEP 2 Heat a saucepan over medium-high. When hot, add oil to the coat bottom of the pan, followed by chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Allow chicken to lightly brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
STEP 3 Carefully add the tikka masala sauce to the pan and bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low. Continue simmering the chicken for about 5 minutes or until cooked through (registers 165F). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
STEP 4 Garnish with chopped cilantro, if desired. Enjoy with steamed rice or quinoa and naan bread.
Add vegetables from your produce box!
If you enjoy vegetables in the tikka masala, be sure to chop them into similar size (about 1-inch pieces) to ensure even cooking. Depending on the vegetable, you may need to add them in phases. For instance, add potatoes and carrots to simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender, whereas sweet peppers, summer squash or greens should only need to simmer for 5 minutes.
