This decadent addition to our hot dog kit collection includes everything you need to put a bacon twist (you see what we did there?) on the cookout classic. Start with wrapping 44 Farms USDA Choice Angus beef franks in Tender Belly's signature, smoky heritage bacon and grilling until crispy. Tuck the bacon dogs in Easy Tiger's pillow-y soft fresh baked sausage buns, then top with We Culture's crunchy dill pickle kraut and spicy stoneground mustard.

Perfect for camping, glamping, tail gaiting, or a sunny afternoon in the backyard!

  • 12 oz Smoked Bacon
  • 16 oz Dill Pickle Sauerkraut
  • 12 oz Stoneground Mustard

Hands on Time: 10 minutes; Total Time: 20 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Thaw hot dogs and bacon in refrigerator 1-2 days prior to cooking.

STEP 1  Wrap each hot dog with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick at each end.
STEP 2  Grill the bacon dogs over a gas or charcoal grill over medium heat until the bacon is even crisp all around and the dogs are plump, juicy and thoroughly hot (165°F). Alternatively, heat in a skillet or grill pan over medium. Turn often for even cooking and browning.
STEP 3 
Toast the buns on medium-low heat on the grill as the hot dogs cook, or warm in a 350°F oven until lightly crisp on the outside, while still soft on the inside.
STEP 4  To serve, add crispy bacon dog and dill pickle kraut to buns. Top with stoneground mustard.
