- 8 oz Pickled Red Onions
You will need:
- Salt & Pepper
- Lime (optional)
- Cilantro (optional)
Hands on Time: 8 minutes; Total Time: 8 minutes
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Thaw chicken tinga in the refrigerator 24-48 hours prior to cooking.
STEP 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Meanwhile, add the thawed chicken tinga to a pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer, gently stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until thoroughly hot (165°F). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
STEP 2 Remove the shells from the packaging, separate, and place on a baking sheet open-side down. Warm in the preheated oven for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 3 Serve chicken tinga in crispy taco shells with sliced or cubed avocado and pickled red onions. Garnish with chopped cilantro and fresh lime, if desired.
