RECIPE

Includes:


  • 1 Made In® Square Baking Dish, 8x8" 2.6 quart Navy Rim

  • 1 lb avg Organic Strawberries

  • 1 count Eureka Lemons

  • 12 oz Oat & Pecan Streusel Topping


You will need:


  • All-purpose Flour or Cornstarch

  • White Sugar

  • Pure Vanilla Extract

  • Salt


INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Thaw streusel topping in refrigerator overnight.

STEP 1 
Preheat oven to 350°F and adjust rack to middle position. Meanwhile, wash and remove stem/leaves from strawberries. Quarter or halve depending on size.
STEP 2  In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries with 1.5 tbsp. flour (or 2 tsp. cornstarch), 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4-1/2 cup of sugar (to taste), 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract and the juice of 1 lemon. Toss well to evenly coat and combine all of the ingredients.
STEP 3  Transfer the strawberry mixture to a baking dish and spread out in an even layer. Scatter the oat & pecan streusel topping evenly over the strawberry mixture. Adjust the texture of the streusel by crumbling it into a fine, sandy texture and/or pressing it between your fingers into larger clumps. 
STEP 4  Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the edges are bubbling and the top of the streusel is golden brown. Check the crisp midway and tent with foil if the streusel is browning too quickly. Let the strawberry crisp rest for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy with whipped cream, ice cream or sweetened yogurt.
