Pie Dough, 1 count - Default: 2 - Max: 2

RECIPE

Includes:

  • 32 oz Farmhouse Kitchen Pecan Pie Filling

  • 1 count Farmhouse Kitchen Pie Dough

You will need:

  • All purpose flour

INSTRUCTIONS:

Note: Thaw pie dough and filling in the refrigerator 24-48 hours prior to baking.

STEP 1  Preheat oven to 350°F. Meanwhile, roll out your pie doughs on a lightly floured surface. Roll first dough into a circle shape, about 1 inch wider than the width of your pie pan, then transfer the dough to the pan, tucking it to fit.
STEP 2  Roll out the second dough to roughly 2 inches wider than the pie pan. Cut into strips for a lattice top, if desired. Chill both doughs in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes.
STEP 3  Stir the apple pie filling thoroughly, then pour into the prepared pie crust. Top with the second pie crust, cutting away excess dough and crimping, as desired. Cut vent hopes at the top. Alternatively, slice the second dough into strips and make a lattice top. Brush the dough all over with a light egg wash. Set pie on a rimmed baking sheet.
STEP 4  Bake the pie for 30-45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of pie pan you use. Set over a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Enjoy!
