The Steeping Room

The Steeping Room

Based in Austin, The Steeping Room was born from the dreams and brainstorming of Emily Morrison and Amy March in 2007. Amy brought her background in holistic health, gourmet natural cooking, and years of study of Eastern energetics, herbs and teas. Emily joined with her background in restaurant service, management and holistic health. The Steeping Room is committed to natural and organic teas and foods whenever possible. They avoid the use of artificial ingredients or flavorings, favoring strong relationships with small and local producers, manufacturers and growers.

“We love tea. We respect tea. We taste tea tirelessly throughout the year to bring you the very best that we can find. We believe that tea is like wine, only you can drive after. We love good food, real food. We want all food lovers to be able to enjoy our offerings. We have created a menu influenced by the teas that we serve and the cultures that they come from. For us, tea is about community, joining together with your favorite people or your favorite book, allowing the tea to lift you to commune with your highest self. Lofty, we know, but at the end of the day, what we have is each other.” –Amy March and Emily Morrison
