A classic Southern way to enjoy the abundance, especially on chilly evenings, is to simmer the greens with smoked pork and aromatics. With Farmhouse Kitchen's scratch made potlikker sauce, you'll get a head start on that all day, slow cooked flavor. The savory elixir is a flavor packed chicken stock seasoned with smoky bacon, trinity, fresh herbs, and spices. Just add your favorite winter greens, one or a handful of varieties works, and simmer until all the flavors meld. The result will be tender, silky greens and an umami-rich broth that'll have you tipping back the bowl to savor every last drop.

For a hearty addition, braise ham hocks, pork stew meat, or ribs. Black eyed peas, turnips and rutabagas are delicious, too. Serve with cornbread or rice, if desired.

Delivered frozen. Simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Sauté aromatics and brown proteins, if desired. Deglaze with potlikker sauce, then add chopped winter greens. Cover and simmer over medium-low until greens are tender and silky. Season with salt, pepper, hot sauce or hot pepper vinegar to taste.
