This roasted garlic mashed potato kit includes everything you need to take this classic dinner side from everyday to elevated. Certified organic Yukon gold potatoes, house made compound butter, and local Mill-King Market & Creamery half and half are the perfect trio for creamy, buttery, garlicky mashed potatoes. Pair with your favorite roasted meats, crown a shepherd's pie, or top with a ladle of savory gravy.

  • 2 lb avg Yukon Gold Potatoes
  • 4 oz Roasted Garlic & Herb Compound Butter
  • 1 pint Half & Half Cream
You will need:
  • Salt and pepper
Hands on Time: 5 minutes; Total Time: 20 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 
Set the compound butter on your kitchen counter while you prepare the potatoes.
STEP 2  Peel the potatoes (optional) and chop into 1-inch cubes. Add to a pot and fill with water until it reaches about 1-inch above the potatoes. Season the water with 1 tbsp. salt. Bring the potatoes to a rapid boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-high to a gently boil. Cook for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.
STEP 3  Drain the potatoes in a colander, then return them to the pot. Do not rinse potatoes.
STEP 4 
Add the compound butter and 1/4 cup of half and half to start. Mash and stir, dissolving the butter and incorporating the cream. Add more cream and continue stirring and mashing until desired texture is reached. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
