Ingredients
Texas BBQ Sauce- Ketchup (tomato concentrate, sugar, distilled vinegar, salt, less than 2% of onion powder, spices, natural flavors), Steen's Cane Syrup (100% pure cane syrup), Apple Cider Vinegar, Brown Sugar, Farmhouse Kitchen BBQ Spice (kosher salt, sweet smoked paprika, black pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion, New Mexican chili powder, chipotle powder, mustard powder)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Submerge the skewers in hot water and let them sit for at least 30 minutes to help prevent the skewers from burning while cooking. Step 2 - Meanwhile, prepare the onion. Trim and peel, then chop into large square-shaped pieces, about 1-inch; set aside. 
Step 3 - Next, prepare the chicken. Remove the skins if desired, slice into cubes, about 1-inch pieces; set aside in a bowl.
Step 4 - After soaking the skewers for 30 minutes, prepare the kebabs. Thread the onion, pineapple, and chicken onto the skewers. Add 2 pieces of onion, 1 piece of pineapple, and 2 pieces of chicken. Repeat until the kebab is full, leaving about 1/2 inch of skewer exposed on each end.
Step 5 - If grilling, preheat the grill to medium and oil the grates to prevent sticking. Lay the kebabs diagonally on the grates and adjust so that the skewers are flat against the grates as much as possible. Rotate the skewers to evenly cook, about 3-4 minutes per side. The internal temperature of the chicken should read 165ºF when cooked through. To broil: Set the oven rack to 6 inches below the heating element. Add the kebabs to an oiled, foil-lined baking sheet. Cook the kebabs for 3-4 minutes on each side, rotating as needed to prevent burning. To griddle indoors on a cast iron grill pan: Preheat the pan over medium heat, then lightly oil. Cook the kebabs for 3-4 minutes on each side, rotating as needed to prevent burning.
Step 6 - Just before the chicken is cooked through, lightly brush with sauce and continue grilling/broiling. Rotate often to prevent burning until the chicken is cooked through. Alternatively, after removing from the grill, brush the hot kebabs with Texas BBQ Sauce with additional sauce on the side for dipping.
