The son of California prune farmers, Don Christopher, started growing garlic in 1956 because of the perfect Mediterranean climate of Gilroy. His youngest son, Bill Christopher, grew up on his family’s prune ranch and inherited a natural affinity for the world of farming. Today he carries on the business with two of Don's grandsons.

For three generations, the Christopher Family has served as stewards of their proprietary seed line. In choosing quality over quantity and prioritizing consistency over convenience, Christopher Ranch has been recognized time and again for their excellent garlic.
