Zachary and Samantha Platt, along with their family, steward the land and animals of Behind the Oaks Farm. They are located in Schertz, Texas, right outside of San Antonio, and have been operating the regenerative farm together for 5 years. They take great pride in how their animals are raised on the farm, and choose methods to mend the land and provide nourishment for our local community, which is at the heart of their farm. The Platt family does this by building new soil while protecting our existing soil, supporting our community through a closed-loop composting operation, and raising their animals with compassion and care.
