The small family farm, El Talisman, is located in the mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. They're an intergenerational coffee enterprise, coming from a long lineage of coffee growers in Matagalpa, dating back three generations. Now the fourth and fifth generations are teaming up in order to bring the coffee from the farm in Nicaragua to us in Texas!
The coffee is honey processed. That means that the coffee beans aren't washed, eliminating water waste and contamination. Preserving the coffee's full flavor potential, and honoring old traditions. So, this process not only produces a better quality cup, but it's also better for the farm and for Mother Earth.
