Capay Organic farm was started in 1976 on 20 acres of star thistle and a dream. Kathy Barsotti and Martin Barnes started the farm to fight to rebuild the food system that nourished our communities through organic and sustainable practices. Through healthy crop rotation, encouraging a diverse ecosystem around the fields, efficiently using local water sources and carefully select produce varieties they honor the land. Run by their sons, Thaddeus, Noah, and Freeman the farm grows beyond organic produce with steadfast dedication to being stewards of the land.
