8 oz Fresh Mozzarella

Recipe

STEP 1 Slice the mozzarella and tomatoes into thin rounds, about 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick pieces. (Note: For maximum flavor and texture, set refrigerated tomatoes and cheese on kitchen counter 30-60 minutes before serving to take the chill off.) Set aside.
STEP 2 Pick whole basil leaves. Wash and dry; set aside.
STEP 3 On a larger platter, lay the sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and whole basil leaves in an alternating and overlapping pattern. Season with plenty of salt and pepper, a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste.

Make ahead: Layer tomatoes, mozzarella & basil. Cover and refrigerate. Set on kitchen counter 30-60 minutes to take the chill off, then season and dress with olive oil and balsamic vinegar just before serving.
