Cassie Green and Gary Stephens bought the original elderberry syrup from a family in Texas. The pair started in 2008 as owners of a separate company in Chicago called Green Grocer, which carries local and organic food and beverages. They purchased the elderberry syrup company and now sell it under the Cassie Green Health name.
